Well hello there…I’m Katie.
And this is mini Sidell number one, Maggie!
I’m so pleased you’re here! I love meeting new couples and families and hearing all about your stories, so I guess it’s only fair I share a bit of ‘me’ too.
I love tennis, music and travel. I love that first sip of tea in the morning, being by the sea (and in the sea!) and ripe nectarines. I love new places, new food, new music, meeting new people. New adventures are my happy place! The older I get, the more I’m loving the things money can’t buy. Perhaps a cliché, but for me, so true.
I despise olives, marmite and black pudding. I loathe the duvet being dragged off my feet (and have been known to sleep in socks even in July for that very reason!), dislike beer (I know, right?! I’m a Pimm’s and wine girl at heart) and can’t stand the music of R.E.M. (controversial?).
Photography for me has always been there, lingering somewhere, but never properly explored until I had our beautiful girl. I’m actually a qualified chartered accountant and worked in finance for over ten years. Whilst I was never unhappy, it now feels incredible to be following my heart.
I shoot emotion, raw and real. I shoot authentically, and chase unposed moments. I shoot your story. Showing what your wedding looked like isn’t enough; I want to show what it felt like. There’s not a single wedding I’ve photographed where I haven’t shed a tear. I’m right there with you, living that emotion alongside you.

I actually really love working in exciting, dynamic environments. It seems to be when I’m at my best. From being a top 8 ranked British tennis player as a youngster, to throwing myself into a great white shark cage a few years ago…it seems I seek adventure and adrenaline!
